The Opportunity:
PureSpectrum is seeking a motivated and technically skilled IT Engineer to support and manage the IT infrastructure and day-to-day Network and computing needs of our office. This is a hands-on networking role where you will independently manage the site environment, maintain network devices and support end users and IT systems.
The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of hands-on experience in networking and infrastructure, is comfortable independently managing a site and has a genuine curiosity about AI technologies and their practical applications in a business environment.
You should be able to communicate clearly and work confidently with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure seamless IT operations.
Location: This position is based out of our Hyderabad, India office, requiring in-office presence of 5 days a week.
Your Responsibilities:
Networking & Infrastructure
- Meeting with the IT manager to discuss system needs.
- Sophos Firewall: Manage and maintain the, rule configuration, monitoring, security policies and firmware updates.
- Administer HP and Cisco network switches, including VLAN configuration, port management and firmware maintenance.
- Manage and support Wi-Fi infrastructure including access points and controllers – troubleshoot connectivity issues and ensure optimal coverage.
- Independently manage and own the local office site IT environment, ensuring maximum uptime and proactively resolving issues without constant supervision.
- Perform regular network patching and maintenance cycles, keeping all network devices updated, secure, and documented.
- Diagnose and fix network problems, hardware faults, and software issues in a timely manner.
- Set up and configure new computers, network equipment, switches, and access points.
IT Service Desk & Systems Support
- Responding to general IT requests. Responding to technical support calls from end users of computers and software applications.
- Work with third parties and vendors to ensure service quality and rectify issues to minimize downtime impact to business operations.
- Setting up and installing new computers, networks, and software
- Setting up user accounts and profiles on the network and internal applications.
- Installing updates, known as patches, to software applications
- Installing and configuring operating systems, anti-virus software and other applications such as Microsoft Office
- Diagnosing and fixing network problems and hardware or software faults
- Maintaining inventories of hardware and software
- Managing backups of servers, in case of data loss
- Keeping a record of issues and faults along with solutions, for future reference.
- Training staff on newly installed hardware and software systems.
AI Interest & Innovation
- Actively explore and pilot AI tools and integrations within internal applications and business workflows.
- Stay up to date on emerging AI technologies and contribute ideas for practical AI adoption within the company.
- Collaborate with teams to identify opportunities where AI tools can improve productivity or automate repetitive tasks.
Requirements:
- Graduate or Postgraduate in Computer Science or Information Technology from any reputed University.
- 2 -3 years of proven working experience in IT with a strong focus on networking and infrastructure.
- Familiarity with operating systems, such as Windows, Mac, Linux, and UNIX.
- Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
- Technical Certifications are an added advantage.

- Ability to foster positive relationships across teams and customers.
- Willing to work in Night Shifts and in shifts rotating 24x7.
Networking & Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with Sophos firewalls (Sophos Central preferred) – configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of HP and Cisco switches – VLANs, port configuration, firmware updates.
- Experience managing WiFi devices and access points – deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage an office IT site with minimal supervision.
- Experience performing regular network patching and maintaining patch schedules for network devices.
- Certifications are a strong advantage: CCNA, Sophos Certified Engineer, or similar.
Soft Skills & Mindset

- Excellent communication and analytical skills, comfortable working with internal teams and external vendors.
