Role Summary
This role is responsible for managing accounting, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and audit activities for the entity. The incumbent will oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, support process improvement initiatives, and manage a team while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting and Accounting
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and fixed asset accounting
- Support preparation and review of financial statements and disclosures in accordance with Ind AS, Companies Act requirements, and US GAAP reporting requirements
- Provide accounting guidance on routine and moderately complex transactions
- Perform analytical review of balance sheet and PandL accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Audit and Compliance
- Lead statutory audits, internal audits, and regulatory reviews
- Coordinate with external auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of audits
- Monitor closure of audit observations and implementation of corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with Companies Act, Income Tax, GST, and other applicable regulatory requirements
- Support maintenance and enhancement of internal controls and compliance processes
- Process Improvement and Operational Excellence
- Drive process improvements and automation opportunities across accounting and reporting processes
- Support standardization and efficiency initiatives within the finance function
- Leverage ERP systems and reporting tools to improve accuracy, controls, and productivity
- Team Management and Stakeholder Engagement
- Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals
- Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to team members
- Collaborate with tax, treasury, legal, HR, and business teams to support organizational objectives
- Communicate financial and compliance matters effectively to management and key stakeholders
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA)
- 10+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, audit, and compliance
- Experience managing teams and leading finance processes
- Experience handling statutory audits, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting requirements
- Experience in multinational organizations or GCC/shared service environments preferred
Technical Skills
- Solid knowledge of Ind AS, Indian GAAP/US GAAP, Companies Act, and auditing practices
- Good understanding of internal controls and financial processes
- Proficiency in ERP systems (PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle, etc.) and advanced Excel

- Team management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment
