PeopleCert is looking for an IT Network Administrator to support and enhance all IT operations. In this role, you’ll apply your technical expertise, domain knowledge, and best practices as part of a talented, collaborative team that has built an ISO 27001–certified, 24/7 operational environment. Our hybrid infrastructure leverages extensive virtualization, cloud technologies, and Microsoft 365 services, offering a dynamic setting for professional growth and innovation.
As an IT Network Administrator, your tasks will include the following:
- Install, configure, test and document equipment and network systems according to design and specifications.
- Lead the day-to-day networking tasks ensuring reliability, availability and serviceability with minimal interruption.
- Monitor and maintain network performance to ensure continuous availability for all users, taking proactive measures to prevent and resolve issues.
- Provide Tier 2 level support for problem identification, diagnosis and resolution.
- Configure firewall security settings to provide access for groups and for individuals and set up provisions for incoming data.
- Upgrade network technology or expansion projects, including installation of hardware, software, and integration testing, as well as coordinating these activities without impacting other systems.
- Develop and produce documentation for installation, network topology, and troubleshooting
- Perform disaster recovery operations
- Provide technical support, respond to tickets from the users, analyze and solve reported network problems.
- Participate in troubleshooting interconnected systems and provide useful feedback.
What we look for:
- University Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields
- Excellent command of the English language (C2 level certification desired, LanguageCert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certificate would be a plus)
- Minimum 2 years of networking experience in a similar position
- Excellent understanding of Network & Firewalls platforms (Cisco, Palo Alto, ClearPass)
- Experience in Wireless Technologies (Ubiquiti Networks), Network Monitoring and Capacity management (PRTG, SolarWinds)
- Experience of Network Technologies including routing Protocols Static, OSPF, VRRP/HSRP, VLANs, SPAN, Ethernet, ACL, VPNs, SNMP
- Experience in VoIP technologies including QoS
- CCNA, CompTIA Network+ or ITIL certifications will be considered a plus.
- Good understanding of Cloud environment (Azure)
- Communicate with various levels of management and work closely with IT network manager, IT network team members as well as IT support and systems teams
- Strong work ethic, team spirit and excellent problem-solving skills

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)
Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check (the results of which must be acceptable to PeopleCert and the HO) prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.
- If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:
- If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK.
In addition, if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and, where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), the official language of the relevant country.
