Job Description
Job Title: FinTech - Scrum Master
Location: Bangalore
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:00 pm - 11:00 pm (IST)
Working Model: Hybrid (3 days from the office)
Scrum Master - Agile Project Management
CSC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Scrum Master to manage the scrum process for multiple teams within our Agile methodology framework. The successful candidate will play a critical role in leading and coaching agile teams while ensuring project success through effective coordination, communication, and facilitation. The Scrum Master will work closely with the program manager, product owners, and development teams to drive continuous improvement and deliver high-quality products in an efficient and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the scrum process for multiple teams, ensuring adherence to Agile principles and practices
  • Facilitate key Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, estimations, demos, and retrospectives
  • Organize and conduct retrospective meetings to help teams reflect on the process and identify areas for improvement
  • Guide and coach teams towards achieving higher levels of scrum maturity.
  • Facilitate the development of user stories, backlogs, and sprint goals to ensure clarity and alignment with business requirements
  • Utilize Agile metrics such as burn-down charts, velocity, and task tracking to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with product owners to prioritize and manage backlogs, including handling new requests and scope changes
  • Assist in resolving conflicts and removing obstacles to ensure the team can focus on delivering quality outcomes
  • Promote continuous integration, test-driven development, automated testing, and other Agile techniques to improve the development process
  • Ensure that each sprint delivers quality results that meet agreed-upon requirements and standards
  • Coach team members on Agile frameworks, encouraging self-organization and accountability within the team
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external communications related to the project, including customers and stakeholders
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders
  • Monitor project scope, timeline, and quality, ensuring successful project delivery in alignment with stakeholder expectations
  • Regularly update the Project SharePoint site with status updates, milestones, RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies), and other project-related information
  • Work closely with the Program Manager to manage releases, dependencies, and ensure timely delivery
  • Plan team capacity and project resources efficiently, ensuring optimal resource utilization and alignment with project deadlines
  • Provide necessary input for project accounting, release checklist signoffs, and overall project documentation


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master, with a strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and other Agile frameworks.
  • 5+ years of experience in Agile project management, leading and facilitating scrum processes for software development teams
  • Hands-on experience in Agile techniques like User Stories, Continuous Integration, Test-Driven Development, Continuous Testing, Pair Programming, and Automated Testing
  • Familiarity with project tracking tools, backlog management, burn-down metrics, velocity, and task management
  • Strong understanding of service-oriented environments and development best practices in Agile environments
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Ability to coach and mentor team members, helping them achieve higher levels of Scrum maturity and overall team effectiveness
  • Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills to remove obstacles and drive team performance
  • Proven ability to manage project scope, timelines, and stakeholder communications effectively
  • Familiarity with project management tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar Agile tools is a plus
  • Certification in Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent is preferred
