Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, your day typically involves collaborating closely with various stakeholders to understand and translate business needs into effective application designs. You will engage in defining detailed requirements and contribute to the architectural planning of software solutions that align with organizational goals. Throughout the day, you will participate in discussions to refine application functionalities and ensure that the developed software supports the intended business processes efficiently and reliably. Your role is pivotal in bridging the gap between business objectives and technical implementation, fostering seamless integration and optimal performance of applications within the enterprise environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements for software development.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving application issues to maintain system stability and performance.
- Document technical specifications and design decisions to support knowledge sharing and future maintenance.
- Support junior team members by providing guidance and sharing best practices to enhance team capabilities.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Duck Creek Billing.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle and application design principles.
- Experience in analyzing business processes to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues effectively.
- Familiarity with integration techniques and working with various software components.
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Duck Creek Billing.
- This position is based at our Kolkata office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
