Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves collaborating closely with various stakeholders to understand and translate business needs into effective software solutions. The role includes participating in the design and development of applications tailored to support and enhance business processes. Throughout the day, the engineer engages in problem-solving activities, ensuring that the applications align with organizational goals and deliver optimal performance. Interaction with cross-functional teams is frequent, fostering a dynamic environment where ideas are exchanged and refined to achieve the best possible outcomes for the projects at hand.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to identify and implement process improvements within the team to enhance productivity and quality.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing knowledge and guiding them through technical challenges.
- Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of software components.
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams to ensure clarity and alignment on project goals.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP ABAP Development for HANA.
- Experience in developing and optimizing custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements within the SAP HANA environment.
- Strong understanding of database concepts and ability to write efficient code for data retrieval and manipulation.
- Familiarity with SAP HANA Studio and related development tools to design and deploy applications.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to SAP ABAP and HANA integration.
- Knowledge of performance tuning and debugging techniques specific to SAP ABAP on HANA platforms.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in SAP ABAP Development for HANA.
- This position is based at our Kolkata office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
