Summary:
Android SystemUI Developer you will develop and configure software systems, either end-to-end or for specific stages of the product lifecycle. Your typical day will involve applying your knowledge of various technologies, applications, methodologies, processes, and tools to support clients and projects, ensuring that software solutions meet the required specifications and quality standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and contribute to the overall success of the software development process.

Roles & Responsibilities:
-In-depth knowledge of Android core building blocks/ app fundamentals and their lifecycles.
-Practical experience in using Jetpack Compose and proficient in Java and Kotlin programming languages
-Hands on expertise in developing/customizing Android SystemUI
-Contribute to android platforms powering automotive infotainment systems.
-Working on the android platform level (with prior experience, also possible from outside automotive, e.g. mobile phones).
-Regularly catch up with latest android platform technologies presented on Google s conferences / bootcamps.
-Get involved in the full lifecycle of software development to build best-in-class experience information and entertainment applications.
-A desire to learn new things and the ability to understand complex systems.
-Responsible for complex troubleshooting issues and resolving them.
-Ensure compliance with CDD certification requirements.
-Get involved in building best-in-class system user interface.

-Fundamentals in Custom Android HALs
-Advanced in Android component: Services, Broadcast receivers, content providers
-Advanced in Custom Android OS extension (a.k.a. SDK Addons)
-Fundamentals in Hardware Abstraction Layers AIDL/HIDL
-Fundamentals in C++ 11,14,17
-Fundamentals in Android Version Migrations (executing update 1/year)
-Expert in Version Control Tools (Git, Gerrit)
-Advanced in Version Control Tools (Github)
-Advanced in Multi-Threaded Porgramming
-Fundamentals in Middleware Solution Development & OS Concepts
-Fundamentals in OO design patterns
-Fundamentals in Core Java
-Fundamentals in NDK
-Fundamentals in Android Components and jetpack library
-Advanced in Writing (unit) test cases for developed modules
-Advanced in Experience on solid principals, java design patterns and MVVM.
-Advanced in Experience in Service binding, IPC communication and thread handling.
-Advanced in Experience on Java/Kotlin
-Expert in Communication and team collaboration skills
-Fundamentals in Google compliance testing (CTS, VTS,..)
-Advanced in Proficiency in collaborating with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot).
Good to have:
-Application Development experience for Media and Phone App, Navigation, Home Screen Customization, cloud communication.
-Experience on BT, Wi-Fi, GPS, CAN integration at application level.
-Experience in Android platform domain.
-Linux.
