The analyst will play a key role in overseeing and maintaining several Meetings & Events (M&E) data solutions and will also be the liaison to stakeholders for tactical systems troubleshooting, navigational assistance and support for ad hoc requests falling outside the client analysts’ purview.
What You'll Do:
- Oversight of Meetings & Events global data platform, including data/systems ingestion processes, data cleansing, and auditing processes with a focus on ensuring data accuracy
- Ongoing maintenance of data set including quality control, reference table maintenance, and ability to collaborate cross-functionally as it relates to internal data sharing and education
- Troubleshooting and resolution of system issues in partnership with GBT technical SME’s
- Liaise with third party technology providers for the purpose of keeping abreast of functionality enhancements, bug fixes, etc.
- Identification and implementation of streamlining and automation opportunities for the purpose of enhancing data quality and speed to market
- Stakeholder Support Request- Available to support requests from internal stakeholders related to systems issues, navigational support and ad hoc data and analytics support
- Customer Satisfaction-Maintain and update Customer Satisfaction Survey database as needed to ensure timely and accurate capture and display of results.
- Implement new clients, acquire necessary data, build source data integrations.
- Manage data integrity from sources.
- Manage user questions, training, presenting to teams, updates to reference materials, etc.
- Quality Control Platform Management
- Implement new clients and update existing rules as needed
- Manage questions from users, develop and provide training materials
- Manage tool integrity to minimize false positives
- Project manage re-platforming from dev server to official tool
- Identify, build and maintain rules to keep client reporting clean
- Contribute to the design and build of dashboards and visualizations in support of business objectives
- Review existing data sets, dashboards and visualizations for the purpose of interpreting trends and creating position pieces on business performance and marketing requests
What We're Looking for:
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience working with and innovating in an enterprise data environment
- Experience with visualization tools (i.e., Domo, Tableau, Power BI, SAP BI, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree with technology focus or equivalent work experience
- Advanced to expert knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite of tools; Access and Excel are required
- Understanding of relational databases and demonstrated proficiency in query writing
- Ability to work mostly unsupervised. Proven communication and collaboration skills; willingness to take initiative to contribute beyond basic responsibilities.
- Experience troubleshooting and writing VBA code
- Proficient in database design; specifically, Microsoft Access tables, queries, reports, macros, and forms
- Client facing experience a plus
- ETL experience a plus
- Knowledge of the meetings and events industry is preferred, willingness to learn required
- Customer and service-oriented mindset
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize to handle numerous responsibilities with little direction
- Comfortable with an environment where priorities change frequently
- Ability to work in a fast-moving company and industry
