Business Development Executive – Role Tasks
Lead Generation and Data Management:
Sourcing accurate contact details of potential clients from online sources like Apollo.io, LinkedIn, company websites, Google search, industry directories and business networks.
Identifying decision makers such as Founders, Directors, Project Managers, HR Heads, and Procurement Managers of target companies.
Maintaining and updating leads database in CRM systems or internal Excel templates.
Tracking lead status, follow-ups, and conversation history regularly.
Conducting outreach through cold calls, emails, LinkedIn messages and other channels to connect with potential clients.
Preparing for client meetings through structured research about the company, industry and business needs.
Having effective discovery calls or meetings in order to:
Understand the client’s business requirements and challenges.
Present the company’s services clearly.
Identify opportunities for partnership or sales.
Preparing customized proposals and presentations based on client requirements.
Coordinating with internal teams such as operations, product or technical team to create solutions for the client.
Sharing quotations, service details and project timelines with clients.
Following up regularly with prospects to move deals forward.
Negotiating commercial terms while maintaining company profitability guidelines.
Closing deals and converting prospects into paying clients.
Writing professional emails to document discussions, agreements and next steps with clients.
Building long-term relationships with clients for repeat business.
Acting as the communication bridge between the client and internal teams during project execution.
Maintaining records of leads, meetings, proposals and closed deals.
Preparing weekly or monthly sales activity reports for the management team.
Coordinating with marketing and operations teams to support business development activities.
