KPMG Global Services Delivery Platform has announced the opening of a new office in Kolkata to support its global tax specialization and professional services operations.
According to reporting by Devdiscourse, the Kolkata office is expected to host more than 200 professionals as part of KPMG’s broader global delivery model that is shifting more international tax and compliance work to India.
Sameer Chadha of KGSDP confirmed, according to Devdiscourse, that Kolkata has emerged as a strategic growth location due to its strong talent pool and academic ecosystem. He added that as the firm continues to scale its global delivery platform, more specialized tax work is being situated in India, reinforcing the country’s role in supporting global professional services.
