As a Trusts & Estates Professional - Specialist within the Global Trusts & Estates Practice, you will be a strategic thinker, passionate about promoting solutions. You will be part of a team with over 200 years of experience in serving as a corporate fiduciary for families. Your role will involve assisting the Trusts & Estates team in the US with various tasks in the account management process. This is an opportunity to apply your technical experience and ability to interact well with a variety of types of families and team members, delivering exceptional results.
Job Responsibilities:
- Annotate trust governing documents to identify key parties, powers, and provisions.
- Perform QA/QC on account codings to ensure trusts are accurately coded and maintained.
- Obtain current market valuations for assets held in trusts from both internal and external sources to ensure accurate valuation of client assets.
- Update tax codes as necessary to ensure accurate preparation of tax returns.
- Obtain missing tax information and provide it to the tax vendor.
- Review internal and external money movements and update transaction descriptions for clarity, with input from the US-based team.
- Research returned mail and process address changes as needed.
- Set up and update JP Morgan online access for clients as required.
- Set up and maintain client statement addresses to ensure accurate delivery.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Bachelor's degree required, legal degree.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in the financial services industry.
- Exposure to various aspects of managing client information.
- Previous experience in the Trusts & Estates space.
- Experience and interest in working with data and systems.
- Understanding of how various components of data work together.
- Ability to interpret and translate information from emails and documents into data.
