As a Trade Lifecycle Manager III within JPMorganChase, you will be a key player in managing the operations of the pre- and post-trading life cycle across all asset classes. Your role will involve complex tasks such as coordinating cash movements in and out of client accounts, preparing funding for managed demand deposit accounts, and collaborating with other business lines to ensure proper funding. You will leverage your deep understanding of trade lifecycle principles and practices to make impactful decisions that affect our operations and financial management. Your advanced skills in areas such as process improvement, automation, and project management will be crucial in driving efficiency and innovation in our operations. Job responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely settlement of derivative cash flows across supported products and markets. Manage the end-to-end settlement lifecycle, including exception management, payment release, reconciliation and funding coordination.
- Execute and oversee pre-settlement controls, payment validations and settlement risk mitigation activities. Approve and authorize high-value settlements in accordance with established approval thresholds and governance frameworks.
- Escalate material operational, funding, client and control issues to senior management in a timely manner. Maintain strong focus on operational risk, regulatory compliance and control effectiveness.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of managers, associates and analysts. Drive a culture of accountability, control, inclusion and continuous improvement.
- Manage performance, succession planning, talent development and employee engagement. Promote cross-training and resiliency across teams and locations.
- Own and deliver key operational metrics, management reporting and governance presentations. Lead root cause analysis efforts and drive sustainable remediation of recurring issues.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, operating procedures and regulatory requirements. Participate in audits, control reviews and regulatory examinations as required.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual touchpoints, improve STP rates and enhance controls. Partner with Technology and Operations teams to deliver strategic automation and process improvement initiatives.
- Support business growth, platform migrations and industry change programs.
- Minimum 8 years of Operations experience within Financial Services.
- Strong knowledge of Derivatives Operations, Settlements, Payments or Markets Operations.
- Proven track record managing teams and operating in a control-focused environment.
- Experience managing high-value, time-critical operational processes.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Knowledge of OTC Derivatives, Equities, Rates, Credit, FX or Commodities products.
- Experience in settlement platforms, cash management and exception management workflows.
- Prior experience leading transformation, automation or strategic change initiatives.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements impacting Markets Operations.
