In this role, you will work closely with product leaders, scrum masters, business analysts, QA engineers, software developers, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into clear product requirements and scalable technology outcomes. You will develop a strong understanding of existing systems, workflows, data models, and operational processes, and use that knowledge to define priorities, clarify requirements, and guide delivery.
The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking problem solver who is comfortable working across business and technology teams, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can independently analyze problems, define outcomes, and drive execution. This role requires strong product thinking, technical curiosity, data-driven decision making, and a solid understanding of agile delivery and modern technology architecture concepts.
Responsibilities
• Partner with business stakeholders, product leaders, and engineering teams to understand goals, user needs, operational challenges, and technology constraints.
• Define, prioritize, and maintain a well-structured product backlog for Indexes technology initiatives.
• Translate business objectives and user needs into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, discovery discussions, design reviews, sprint planning, and delivery checkpoints to ensure alignment across teams.
• Work closely with engineering and QA teams to deliver solutions that meet expectations for functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, quality, timelines, and alignment with Indexes objectives.
• Support product demos, UAT coordination, release readiness, stakeholder communication, and adoption of delivered capabilities.
• Analyze workflows, identify process gaps, and recommend scalable product or platform improvements.
• Promote strong product discipline, clear prioritization, collaborative decision making, and continuous improvement across the team.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in product management, business analysis, technology delivery, or software solutions, preferably in financial services, capital markets, or a data-driven technology environment.
• Strong ability to translate business and operational needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Solid understanding of Agile delivery practices, backlog management, sprint planning, stakeholder prioritization, and release coordination.
• Working knowledge of APIs, databases, data models, cloud platforms, and modern application architecture.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and/or data analysis tools to support requirement validation, issue triage, and product decision making.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex workflows, identify root causes, and recommend practical solutions.
• Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfort discussing architecture, integrations, data quality, operational processes, and trade-offs with technical teams.
Good to Have
• Knowledge of AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Athena, or Glue.
• Experience with product roadmaps, OKRs, success metrics, or value measurement.
• Familiarity with API design, microservices, data pipelines, or event-driven architecture.
• Experience using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, SQL editors, BI/reporting platforms, or workflow management systems.
• Familiarity with Python, data analysis, automation, or prototyping.
• Exposure to capital markets, indexes, equities, or related investment domains.
