Group/Division
With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. The Surfscan group includes a team of engineers, technology development, apps engineers and product marketing focused on technology that enables wafer, IC and equipment manufacturers to develop, qualify and monitor their process tools. Defects and process non-uniformities detected on Surfscan equipment allow for early identification of yield excursions. The flagship Surfscan products include the SPx platforms for wafer surface quality and wafer defect inspection tools and systems for inspection of polished wafers, epi wafers and engineered substrates during the wafer fabrication process.
Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Responsibilities
Job Duties:
- Responsible for software development activities using C++/C#, Managed C++, MFC, ATL, COM, .NET in Windows 32/64 bit environment
- Work in a global environment to Interact with multi-site team members (India, Asia and USA) and customers during software product life cycle for requirement analysis, design, coding, integration and testing
- Work with hardware and systems/application groups to understand system requirements and map them to a software design
- Participate in all stages of software development including deployment/trouble shooting at customer sites (for current products)
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer science / Electronics / Electrical / Mechanical or equivalent field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of Software Engineering Experience preferrable in a product company
- Good Communication, Inter personnel and Team co-ordination skills required
- Self learner, able to work with minimum supervision
- Creative thinker with good problem analysis and solving abilities
Experience:
- Excellent software design/implementation capabilities
- Networking and Hardware knowledge is essential
- Technical competency in using Visual C/C++, C# and managed C++, MFC, WPF, ATL, COM in Windows 32/64 bit programming environment
- Proven experience in using UML, OOP and OOD methodologies
- Good Debugging skills
- Proven experience in User interface design and implementation
- Semi-conductor domain experience is a plus
Minimum Qualifications
Master's Level Degree with work experience of 3 years , Bachelor's Level Degree with work experience of 5 years
