We are looking for talented and passionate engineers to join our team in protecting enterprise infrastructures and data from cyber-attacks. The job requires a very high degree of ownership and independence in making technical, architectural, and product decisions.
The team is responsible for evaluating security risks across all RDBMS, NoSQL, and Big Data services within the organization. It serves as the central authority for database security expertise and risk assessment.
You will develop a deep understanding of secure configurations to protect customer data and database services end-to-end. To safeguard our customers, you will design and implement security policies that detect, alert on, and mitigate real-time database attacks.
In this role, you will gain comprehensive knowledge of security threats across diverse database technologies and guide customers in configuring their systems to prevent data loss, data breaches, denial-of-service attacks, and other vulnerabilities. You will ensure customers remain compliant with DISA and CIS Benchmarks, as well as regulatory standards such as PCI, HIPAA, FISMA, SOX, and GDPR.
Your responsibilities will include tracking security patches, researching new vulnerabilities, validating proofs of concept, and advising on mitigation strategies for known CVEs. For every new database release, the team will analyze features and assess associated risks.
As a leader in data security, you will proactively deliver updates that keep customers ahead of emerging threats, surpassing community and industry standards. You will also analyze database commands to anticipate potential attacks and contribute to developing automated tools for testing and resolving security issues across multiple environments.
B.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent from a known university;
6+ years of experience in different RDBMS databases (specifically Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server and DB2) is a must.
Deep knowledge of Linux environment
Proven experience with shell scripts in Windows & Linux (batch, bash) — advantage (basic knowledge enough)
Strong SQL skills -must
Knowledge & Experience with all different tasks of database maintenance including performance tuning, backups, user management, audit configuration, database installation and patch installation. — advantage
Proven experience with a variety of regulations, including PCI, SOX, GDPR, FISMA, HIPAA — advantage
Proven experience with implementing security regulations based on DISA/CIS — advantage
Experience with Big Data (MongoDB, Cassandra, Hadoop) — advantage
