This is a position at Ericsson R&D where you get to work with a team of highly motivated engineers in delivering Ericsson's world leading telecom application servers. We are creating a team to consolidate our leadership in this marketplace and help build the next generation Cloud Native product. These telecom applications are part of Ericsson's Cloud Communication portfolio.
Within our product development units, Agile methodology and philosophy are practiced in spirit.
What you will do
• Perform continuous analysis and requirement handling. • You are continuously experimenting and learning something new. • Be accountable for software development and maintenance including software design, implementation, test, integration/release, and bug fixing. • Ensure software code quality, testability, maintainability, and usability. • Trouble shoot product issues and support our customers • Develop competence in technical domain
You will bring

• Be accountable for product software design throughout the complete life-cycle.
• Work in Scrum team to focus on quick study, solution/architecture design based on assigned requirement items in product backlog.
• Act as technical lead in the Scrum team during software development.
• Lead and participate in software implementations, ensuring code quality.
• Work together with Architect community to ensure the software implementation is aligned with design rules, technology strategy and overall product architecture.
• Be responsible for evolution of assigned components and compose design proposals towards System Architect Team on changes on component-level architecture, internal/external APIs and usage of 3PPs.
• Review major technical design decisions.
• Create and maintain technical documents when needed, e.g. component-level Implementation Proposal, component-level architecture design proposal, etc.
• Strong competence in Java or C++ for SW development for Cloud Native target environment.
• Comfortable with use of AI based Coding assistant tools as part of SW development life cycle and associated processes.
• Good knowledge, and experience in following competence domain for SW development:
• DB: NoSQL, PostgreSQL
• Container, Docker, Kubernetes, and Service Mesh
• Micro-Service architecture Dev env / Tools: Gerrit, Jenkins
• HTTP, TCP/IP
• Demonstrated capability to develop robust solutions considering aspects of re-usability, extensibility and scalability
• Keen eye for improvements in the product and enable teams to achieve the required product changes
• Collaborate with other product teams to bring in learnings and accelerate own product evolution
• Prior experience in Network APIs is a big plus
• Minimum years of relevant experience: 10+ years of overall software R&D experience with a minimum of 2 years on a Cloud Native Network API or telecom carrier grade core network product.
• Education: B. Tech Degree in CS/EC/EE or related studies. M. Tech Degree is a plus
