The Talent Development Lead for Northeast Asia (MNEA) is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving Ericsson's learning and development initiatives across the MNEA market area (Japan, South Korea, China, and Taiwan). Reporting to the MNEA Head of Talent Practice, you will ensure Ericsson's regional workforce is future-ready by implementing global talent strategies locally while addressing MNEA-specific business needs.
Your mandate is to identify and execute high-impact learning and development initiatives that upskill critical capabilities, and foster a high-performance culture aligned with Ericsson's values. You will partner with MNEA business leaders and HR teams to design and deliver on-demand solutions that enhance employee engagement, retention, and career growth.
As a key member of the MNEA People Team, you will support MNEA Head of Talent Practice translate global talent strategies into actionable Market Area plans, measure impact, and drive accountability for results. This is a pivotal role in shaping MNEA's talent ecosystem to support business growth in a competitive, fast-evolving market.

What you will do
- Regionalize & Execute Strategy: Adapt and implement Ericsson's global talent & development strategy for MNEA, ensuring alignment with local business priorities and cultural nuances.
- Leadership & Employee Development: Drive leadership development programs for MNEA leaders (from frontline to executives) and curate learning initiatives to build future-ready skills.
- Onboarding & Employee Experience: Oversee regional onboarding programs to accelerate new hire productivity and engagement.
- Learning & Capability Building: Deploy global learning programs while designing localized solutions to address MNEA's skill gaps (e.g., 5G, AI, digital transformation).
- Data-Driven Insights: Leverage talent analytics to assess program effectiveness, track workforce trends, and provide actionable insights to leaders.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with MNEA stakeholders, People BPs, and global Talent & Development teams to ensure seamless strategy execution.
- Vendor & Budget Management: Optimize partnerships with external vendors for leadership development, e-learning, and assessment tools.
What you will bring
- Strong understanding of MNEA's market dynamics, technology trends, and talent challenges in telecom/tech industries.
- Proven experience in talent management, leadership development, and learning program design (preferably in a multinational company).
- Deep familiarity with MNEA's cultural and business landscape, including labor markets, learning preferences, and leadership expectations.
- Ability to engage senior stakeholders, challenge constructively, and drive change in a matrixed organization.
- Proficiency in using data to diagnose talent gaps, measure ROI, and refine strategies.
- Comfort with digital learning tools, agile methodologies, and scalable talent solutions.
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or related field; Master's degree or certifications (e.g., CIPD, SHRM, coaching) a plus.
- 8+ years in talent management, leadership development, or HR Business Partnering, with at least 3 years in a regional role.
- Experience leading talent initiatives is highly preferred.
- Fluent in English and native-level proficiency in Japanese.
- Strong project management skills and experience managing cross-functional teams.
