Vice President, Systems Software EngineeringBlackRock is actively recruiting a Senior Software Engineer to join a development team coordinated within Global Investment Operations (GIO). You will be developing exception-based, business-process-centric technology solutions that provide scale to operations teams globally. Collaborate with business users to build workflows across GIO's functional areas: Trading & Market Documentation, Transaction Management, Collateral Management, Payments, Corporate Actions, Cash & Asset Operations, and Securities Lending Operations.

Experience managing team of Software Developers and leads providing technical guidance and leadership.
10+ years hands-on experience developing complex enterprise software systems.
BA/BS or equivalent experience in Computer Science from a recognized university
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
An ability to translate real business problems into technical solutions
A track record of forging strong relationships and building trusted partnerships through open dialogue and continuous delivery
Proficiency and familiarity with software development life cycle principles such as test driven development (TDD), unit testing structure, agile methodologies, and CI/CD approaches.
Experience Handling multi-location teams and working with stakeholder teams across different time-zones and countries
Strong OO skills and design patterns knowledge and implementation experience using one or more object-oriented languages (e.g. Java, C/C++, Python)
Experience building enterprise-wide applications using JAVA based frameworks like SPRING, HIBERNATE etc,
Familiarity with API Creation and RESTful services
Experience building UI components using latest in web technologies (e.g. Angular, React) and languages (e.g. TypeScript)
Experienced in building and engaging with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Sybase)
Experience building cloud-native applications is a plus
Experience developing large-scale distributed software systems and streaming systems using open source distributed frameworks (e.g. Ignite) is a plus
Experience developing using NoSQL and distributed storage technologies (e.g. Cassandra, HBase) is a plus
