Overview
We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join the Market Securities IT Department.
This role will strengthen the infrastructure team by focusing on servers, virtualization, storage,
backup, and enterprise systems, while also contributing to daily support operations as a
centralized global resource.
The Systems Engineer will help build and maintain the firm’s infrastructure to ensure the
stability, integrity, and efficiency of business-critical systems and cloud services across all
Market Securities offices.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot the VMware infrastructure, including ESXi hosts,
vCenter, and virtual machines.
• Support and manage VDI solutions to ensure secure, high-performance virtual desktop
environments for end users.
• Oversee storage systems (IBM, QNAP, Lenovo), Veeam backup and replication, and
Windows Server environments.
• Support and maintain the Microsoft 365 tenant, Intune, and Active Directory and Entra
ID integrations.
• Manage and monitor Trend Micro Cloud endpoint security, ensuring compliance and
protection across all systems.
• Participate in planning, design, implementation, and deployment of infrastructure projects
and upgrades.
• Monitor systems performance, backup health, and capacity planning to ensure high
availability and reliability.
• Write and maintain technical documentation and deployment manuals, ensuring proper
handover to the IT Operations team after new implementations.
• Provide escalation support for deployed infrastructure and support remote team members
as needed.
• Work as part of the centralized IT support team, handling incidents across all Market
Securities offices.
• Participate in shift-based coverage to support global operations across different time
zones.
• Collaborate with vendors, MSPs, and cybersecurity partners to maintain service
continuity and compliance.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of infrastructure platforms using
automation and scripting where applicable.
Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure management.
• Good knowledge of VMware, VDI technologies (e.g., Horizon, Citrix, or equivalent),
Windows Server (2019/2022), Veeam, and storage management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration, Intune, and Entra ID.
• Hands-on experience managing endpoint security platforms, preferably Trend Micro
Cloud One / Vision One.
• Experience in infrastructure planning, deployment, and system optimization.
• Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Python, or equivalent) preferred.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and endpoint security.
• Certifications such as VCP, MCSA/MCSE, or Veeam Certified Engineer are preferred.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts to support global time-zone coverage.
• Prior experience supporting users or systems within a financial services, brokerage, or
trading operations environment will be considered a strong advantage.
