Job Summary
This System Administrator III role will focus on supporting a complex Cisco Network environment and collaborating with the various IT Operations Teams. Responsibilities include:• Upgrading and improving Cisco Network.
• Creating network strategies.
• Maintain documentation and diagrams.
• Helping to lead various network infrastructure projects.
Job Description
- Design, implement, and manage complex Cisco network solutions for enterprise environments.
- Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform network troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, security and other network and system problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network solutions with other IT systems.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior network engineers.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend and implement improvements.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
- Maintain and upgrade Splunk and network monitoring environments as needed.
- Perform wireless access point design and configuration
- Perform configuration and maintenance of Cisco Umbrella
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on Cisco technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, FTD firewalls, and other networking equipment.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Enterprise level experience
- Experience with cloud networking solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of network automation tools and scripting languages.
- Familiarity with VoIP and wireless networking technologies.
