As a member of the Power DT Engineering Monitoring & Diagnostics (M&D) team, you will be an active contributor to the project management, installation, and delivery of M&D services and networking to GE Vernova customers. The Power M&D team is responsible for project delivery, networking and operations and health of Power’s monitoring and diagnostics of customers equipment.Job Description
What you’ll do
Lead the delivery of networking services to customers monitoring their turbine equipment, ensuring alignment with project goals and customer requirements.
Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies specific to turbine monitoring networks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and customer support, to deliver high-quality networking solutions.
Configure and deploy networking infrastructure components, such as routers, switches, and wireless access points
Troubleshoot and resolve complex networking issues, working closely with engineering and support teams to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction.
Document technical specifications, project plans, and post-implementation reviews to maintain a knowledge base for future projects.
Communicate project status, challenges, and successes to executive leadership and customers, providing clear and concise updates.
What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience/knowledge.
5-8 years of experience in technical project management, with a focus on networking services and infrastructure projects.
In-depth knowledge of networking technologies, including routing protocols, switching, wireless networks, and network security.
Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and monitoring solutions (Nagios, Zabbix).
Strong scripting and programming skills in languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
Certifications such as PMP, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or similar are highly desirable.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
