About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Linux Driver Engineer with extensive experience in developing and maintaining Linux drivers, particularly on the Broadcom platform. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in the field and a proven track record of leading engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driver Development: Design, develop, and maintain Linux device drivers for Broadcom hardware platforms.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support.
- Collaboration: Work closely with hardware engineers, system architects, and other software engineers to ensure seamless integration of drivers with hardware and software systems.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize driver performance and reliability, ensuring high efficiency and low latency.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to driver functionality and performance.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for driver development processes, code, and system configurations.
- Code Review: Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Project Management: Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure successful project completion.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Over 5 years of experience in Linux driver development, with a strong focus on Broadcom platforms.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in C/C++ programming, Linux kernel development, and debugging tools.
- Broadcom Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Broadcom hardware, including networking and storage solutions.
- Leadership: Proven experience in leading engineering teams and managing complex projects.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Familiarity with open-source development and contribution.
- Knowledge of security best practices in driver development.
