Essential Responsibilities
- Contribute to the strategy, design, and continuous enhancement of the enterprise Data Platform roadmap in alignment with business and technology priorities.
- Design, develop, implement, and support scalable cloud-native data platform services, reusable components, and data pipelines to enable enterprise analytics and data solutions while providing engineering guidance on solution design, dependencies, and implementation impacts.
- Apply software engineering best practices across coding, testing, documentation, release management, automation, CI/CD, governance, security, and production support.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, security teams, and business stakeholders to resolve issues, improve platform performance and reliability, and support adoption of Databricks and lake house capabilities.
- Contribute in the development of the GEV Data + AI Strategy.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent relevant experience in software engineering, cloud platform engineering, software architecture, or enterprise data platform environments.
- Agile execution and continuous improvement mindset in fast-paced environments.
- Strong engineering discipline in problem solving, design, testing, documentation, and support.
- Ability to deliver scalable, reliable solutions using modern frameworks and standards.
- Effective collaboration, communication, planning, and priority management across global teams.

- Strong capability in Python, SQL, Scala, Java, or similar languages for data and software engineering.
Technical Expertise
- Familiar with enterprise cloud data platform engineering.

- Strong capability with Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or similar languages for production-grade engineering solutions.
- Familiar with AWS and/or Azure infrastructure and platform services relevant to enterprise data ecosystems
- Knowledgeable with Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, CI/CD, and deployment automation
- Familiar with Access control and identity management concepts and practices.
Desired Characteristics
- Exposure to cloud infrastructure services and platform components in AWS and/or Azure.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD, version control, and automation practices.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability practices to support platform reliability and performance.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $89,300.00 and $148,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
