Sr. Java Developer (Spring, Multithreading, Microservices and Messaging APIs)
Software Requirements:
- Proficiency in Java and Spring framework.
- Hands-on experience with multithreading and concurrency.
- Knowledge of data storage solutions such as MongoDB and AMPS.
- Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and microservices architecture.
- Experience with messaging APIs such as LBM, Aeron, Solace, or Kafka.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Shell, Perl, or Groovy.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality Java-based applications.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, ensuring best practices in coding and architecture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
Technical Skills:
Category-wise:
Java Development:
- Expert in Java programming and the Spring framework.
- Experience with Java 8 or above.
Concurrency and Multithreading:
- Strong understanding and practical experience with multithreading and concurrent programming in Java.
Data Storage:
- Proficiency with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Experience with AMPS or similar data storage solutions.
Architecture:
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Experience with designing and implementing microservices architecture.
Messaging APIs:
- Hands-on experience with messaging systems such as LBM, Aeron, Solace, or Kafka.
Scripting:
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Shell, Perl, or Groovy.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in Java development.
- Proven experience in leading and mentoring development teams.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing high-performance, scalable systems.
- Experience in working with Agile development methodologies.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Lead and participate in code reviews, design reviews, and architecture discussions.
- Develop and implement new features and enhancements in Java-based applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand requirements.
- Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability through regular reviews and testing.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to the team.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
