The Team:
The CoE Tiger Team is a dedicated group of trusted advisors responsible for driving the technical execution of solutions that help Value Engineers and customers achieve their strategic goals and realize significant value using the Celonis Platform. This team works hand-in-hand with Value Engineers to ensure that solutions align with the client’s objectives throughout the entire value journey—landing, expanding, adopting, and renewing.
Their responsibilities include translating customer business goals into scalable, secure technical solutions; developing reusable technical assets and thought leadership to support the broader consulting teams; and guiding the design, performance optimization, and security of projects. The team collaborates across departments, engages with multiple senior stakeholders, and plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful adoption and long-term impact of the Celonis platform. By leading mission-critical, high-impact projects, the team fosters a culture of innovation, creativity, and collaboration that delivers value-driven results and solidifies long-term customer partnerships.
The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Tiger Team Member with a passion for solution design to support our value engineers in driving data-driven business transformations. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Value Engineering, Sales, and Product Management teams to craft tailored architectures for prospects and customers, ensuring that our solutions meet their performance, data security, and business objectives.
Your primary focus will be to provide technical expertise that enhances the ability of value engineers to deliver impactful solutions. By addressing technical blockers and aligning system integrations with the customer’s strategic goals, you will accelerate the adoption of our platform and support the end-to-end value journey for customers. Working with both new prospects and existing customers, you’ll enable our value engineers to unlock measurable business impact across various industries.
The work you’ll do:
Collaborating with value engineers to ensure solutions align with client objectives and support the entire value journey
Work closely with value engineers to understand client business goals and translate these into technical solutions that align with their strategic vision. By ensuring that architectural designs and integration strategies fully support the client’s needs, you help maximize the impact of value engineers’ efforts, driving customer satisfaction and long-term platform success.
Developing reusable technical assets, position papers, and thought leadership materials that enable consulting teams and accelerate platform adoption
Create and maintain a library of reusable assets, including architecture templates, integration frameworks, and position papers that can be leveraged by consulting teams. These assets help streamline project execution, ensuring consistency and quality in implementations, while also promoting the technical advantages of the platform through thought leadership.
Providing guidance on technical design, performance optimization, and security in both pre-sales and post-sales environments
Serve as the technical authority throughout the customer lifecycle, from pre-sales discussions to post-sales deployment. You will advise on architectural best practices, security standards, and performance improvements, helping to ensure that the solutions delivered are robust, scalable, and secure. Your guidance is essential in addressing technical challenges that arise and in optimizing solutions to meet client expectations.
Driving mission-critical, high-impact projects with creativity and resilience, while fostering collaboration across teams
Take the lead on high-stakes projects that demand innovative, fast-paced solutions. Your ability to approach problems with flexibility and creativity, while fostering a collaborative environment among cross-functional teams, will ensure that projects are delivered on time and with high quality. By promoting communication and teamwork, you help break down silos and drive successful outcomes that create lasting value for clients.
The qualifications you need:
Being part of a technical support team for value engineers requires a blend of technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and interpersonal skills.
- Technical Knowledge
- Understanding of Value Engineering Principles: Familiarity with the concepts of value analysis, cost reduction, and optimization is crucial.
- Proficiency with Make, Celonis, and Python: Tiger Team members should be familiar with all three as they are part of the solution to all the problems we face.
- Data Analysis and Interpretation: Being able to work with and interpret data is key for making informed recommendations on improving asset, product, or process value.
- Problem-Solving Skills
- Analytical Thinking: Value engineering often involves finding cost-effective solutions without sacrificing functionality. This requires strong analytical thinking to identify inefficiencies or areas for improvement.
- Root Cause Analysis: The ability to diagnose problems by identifying the underlying causes is critical when evaluating why a product or process is not delivering the intended value.
- Creativity and Innovation: Finding new ways to reduce costs or enhance performance without compromising quality requires creative thinking.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Technical Communication: The ability to clearly explain technical concepts, challenges, and solutions to engineers and non-technical stakeholders alike is essential.
- Team Collaboration: Value engineering is a multidisciplinary effort, so technical Tiger Team personnel must be able to work closely with Value Engineers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders.
- Customer-Focused Approach: Since VE is all about delivering value, understanding customer needs and expectations and being able to convey solutions that address those needs is vital. Be it for internal (VE, Services, PnE) or external customers.
- Project Management Skills
- Time Management: Value engineering tasks often need to be completed within tight time frames. Strong time management skills are necessary to ensure deadlines are met.
- Task Prioritization: Supporting multiple projects at once requires the ability to prioritize tasks effectively based on their importance and deadlines.
- Documentation and Reporting: Tiger Team processes require meticulous documentation, from project proposals to final reports detailing and functional improvements.
- Customer Service and Support Skills
- Active Listening: Being able to understand and respond to the needs, concerns, or feedback from VEs and other stakeholders.
- Troubleshooting and Diagnostic Skills: Knowing how to methodically address and resolve technical issues, including software, hardware, or process-related problems.
- Continuous Learning
- Adaptability to New Tools and Techniques: Value engineering and related technologies evolve rapidly, so it’s essential to stay updated with the latest tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Ongoing Skill Development: Tiger Team members should be open to continually expanding their skill set, whether it’s through learning new product features, software, or understanding new assets.
- Attention to Detail
- Precision in Documentation and Analysis: In value engineering, even small oversights can lead to significant cost implications or functional issues. Attention to detail ensures that all aspects of the project are carefully evaluated.
