Primary Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based microservices and APIs using Spring Boot
• Build cloud-ready applications and services following modern architecture principles
• Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Apply AI-assisted development practices using tools such as GitHub Copilot, M365 Copilot, and enterprise AI platforms to accelerate delivery
• Integrate AI/LLM capabilities into applications where appropriate to improve user experience and operational efficiency
• Define and promote coding standards, engineering best practices, and reusable design patterns
• Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and code reviews
• Support DevSecOps practices including CI/CD, monitoring, reliability, and production support
• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, performance, and data protection requirements
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience with Java
• 5+ years of experience building RESTful APIs and Microservices using Spring Boot
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
• Experience with relational databases and/or NoSQL databases
• Experience working with event-driven architectures and messaging technologies such as Kafka
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace, or New Relic
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles and distributed systems
• Proven solid analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with AWS cloud services
• Experience building cloud-native applications and microservices
• Experience with Kubernetes, API Gateways, and modern cloud deployment patterns
• Understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI, or AI integration patterns
• Exposure to AI development frameworks and AI-assisted engineering tools
• Knowledge of healthcare domain, provider/member systems, or enterprise healthcare platforms is a plus
