Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software across the full development lifecycle.
• Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum team to design, build, and deliver scalable web applications and new product features.
• Develop and maintain front-end applications using Angular and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js and Python.
• Design, develop, and maintain GraphQL APIs to support efficient and flexible data access across applications.
• Design and manage database schemas and data models using both relational databases (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and efficient schema design.
• Develop and maintain data workflows and pipelines using Apache Airflow.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, automated testing practices, and code coverage tools.
• Participate in code reviews, promoting maintainable, scalable, and well-tested code.
• Work closely with the Lead Software Engineer and product stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications to improve system performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in software development as a Full Stack Developer.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, Node.js, and Python.
• Experience designing and consuming GraphQL APIs.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB, including data modelling and query optimization.
• Experience working with Apache Airflow for data pipeline orchestration.
• Experience working with AWS cloud services.
• Strong front-end development experience with Angular and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience building and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a Scrum/Agile development team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with microservices architectures and cloud-based systems.
• Experience working with Redis, caching strategies, or message queue systems.
• Familiarity with FastAPI, Flask, and Python data processing tools such as Pandas.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and code coverage tools.
• Experience working in Agile software development environments.
