You will be joining a dynamic, fast-paced Global Enterprise Architecture & Developer Platforms (EADP) team within Nike. This team is responsible for building innovative cloud-native platforms that scale with the growing demands of the business. Collaboration and creativity are at the core of our culture, and we are enthusiastic about pushing boundaries and setting new standards in platform development.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for an ambitious Software Engineer with a passion for cloud-native development and platform ownership. If You are someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, is excited by innovative technology, and excels at problem-solving. Should be able to explain details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and operate with urgency and integrity.

Key Skills & Traits:

  • Deep expertise in Snowflake, Databricks, Teradata and data warehousing systems

  • Proficient in managing cloud-native platforms, with a strong PaaS (Platform as a Service) focus

  • Experience with Python, SQL, and AWS services (EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, etc.)

  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices including version control, code reviews, and unit testing

  • A proactive approach with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, agile environment

  • Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills

  • 4-7 years of experience in designing and building production-grade data platforms

  • Strong understanding of PaaS architecture, Snowflake best practices, and DevOps tools like Kubernetes and Jenkins

  • Familiarity with data governance, security features, and performance optimization

  • Keen attention to detail with a growth mindset and the desire to explore new technologies

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will play a key role in shaping and delivering Nike’s next-generation platforms. As a Software Engineer, you’ll leverage your technical expertise to build resilient, scalable solutions, manage platform performance, and ensure high standards of code quality. You’ll also be responsible for leading the adoption of open-source and agile methodologies within the organization. Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Build, maintain, and optimize Snowflake and Databricks platforms

  • Design and implement scalable, cloud-native architecture solutions

  • Collaborate with product managers to scope new features and capabilities

  • Lead platform teams in agile development, ensuring high standards of delivery

  • Perform code reviews and mentor junior engineers

  • Improve the security, reliability, and performance of existing platforms

  • Evangelize PaaS and open-source solutions across Nike’s technology teams
