Software Engineer - Java, Support

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and enhance Java-based applications aligned with Optum standards
• Provide L2 and L3 support for enterprise applications, drive RCA, resolve incidents, and ensure system stability
• Handle complex technical issues independently with solid analytical and debugging skills
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Product, QA, SRE, Infrastructure, and Business to deliver seamless solutions
• Participate in design reviews, peer code reviews, and engineering best practice discussions
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and automation to enhance system reliability
• Support AI/ML-based features or integration initiatives as a secondary skill

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate
• Experience in L2/L3 application support, including incident management and production troubleshooting
• Solid proficiency in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and related frameworks
• Proven ability to analyze logs, performance issues, and complex workflows

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of proven work experience as a software engineer
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Exposure to AI/ML development concepts
• Proven excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams effectively
• Proven solid ownership mindset and ability to handle complex tasks with minimal supervision
