As a Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Cloud Foundational Services team, you will be pivotal in an agile team that is committed to enhancing, developing, and delivering high-quality technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Your knowledge and contributions will significantly influence the business, and your deep technical comprehension and problem-solving abilities will be utilized to tackle a broad spectrum of challenges across diverse technologies and applications.
Job responsibilities

• Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
• Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
• Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
• Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems with your Kubernetes and Cloud experience.
• Collaborate with other cloud platform engineering teams to enable the delivery of high-quality, secure, and scalable applications on the cloud
• Stays up-to-date with the latest advancements in cloud technologies and bring in recommendations for adoption and implementation of new tools/technologies.
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements for the cloud.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced in one or more programming language(s) and Practical cloud native experience
• Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
• Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
• Experience in using Kubernetes and the tools around its ecosystem is essential for this role.
• Experience in coding in Golang and cloud platform experience is required for this role.
• Experience using Infrastructure as Code technologies like terraform is required for this role.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• Hands-on experience working with cloud related technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Azure, GCP.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

• AWS Professional certification is highly preferred.
• Kubernetes Professional certification is highly preferred.
• Experience managing a large fleet of Kubernetes clusters in an enterprise environment.
• Experience using vCluster platform is highly preferred.
