Roles and Responsibilities:-

  • Design and implement new features for our Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into high-quality code.
  • Optimize application performance and ensure a smooth user experience across various devices.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues to maintain application stability.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in Android development and incorporate them into our projects.
  • Continuously improve development processes and tools to enhance team productivity.
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Fastlane for automated builds and deployments.
  • Utilize Hilt/Dagger2 for dependency injection 

Experience and Qualifications:-

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of professional experience in Android development.
  • Proficiency in Kotlin programming language.
  • Experience with Jetpack Compose for building modern UIs.
  • Familiarity with RoomDatabase for local data storage.
  • Solid understanding of Android SDK, architecture components, and other relevant libraries.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have the ability to understand and fix existing codebase.
  • Passion for learning and staying updated on emerging technologies and best practices in mobile development. 

Nice to have

  • Experience with other Android technologies such as Retrofit, Flow, RoomDB, Coroutines, and LiveData.
  • Knowledge of KMP / KMM
  • WebView integrations on Android apps
  • Working with native app sensors
  • Contributions to open-source projects or personal projects showcased on GitHub.
  • Familiarity with other CI/CD tools and platforms.
  • Understanding of software design patterns and architecture principles.
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as Espresso or Mockito.
