Job Summary
A Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) works to develop and maintain automated tests and test frameworks that ensure high-quality software without the need for manual testing. You work within and across software development agile teams to ensure software is designed and implemented for testability and has sufficient code and use case coverage within the test framework. You write automated unit, component, and system tests to detect regressions early in the development lifecycle. You work with development operation teams to ensure that they run test suites as part of the product's continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. In the role of Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be a technical contributor within Comcast Technology Solution's exciting new cybersecurity business unit, which sells SaaS and subscription security solutions to the large enterprise and federal government. You will be primarily responsible for developing the automated tests that ensure a high-quality customer experience with DataBee, a new SaaS security, risk, and compliance platform that was developed internally and used inside Comcast's SOC and is now being made available for use by the Fortune 500 CISO customer base. You will work in a high pace, collaborative engineering environment to deliver value for DataBee customers distributed across the US and India. You will lend your experience and knowledge to establish best practices and influence development and operational workflows across the department. You also will be influential in creating a startup culture for the DataBee business unit, enabling and empowering your teammates to work in an agile fashion.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop software to perform unit, component and system testing.

• Develop and maintain test execution and tracking software.

• Contribute towards architecture designs providing feedback on testability.

• Assist in integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines preferred with Github actions.

• Perform manual tests as required.

• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

• Build and maintain test frameworks, provide usage guidance to team.

• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Experience working in Agile Scrum development environments familiarity with Jira or other similar technologies.

• Experience developing in Python or Golang. Preferred if experienced in both.

• Experience in developing automated tests for ETL Pipelines.

• Experience using AWS EKS cluster technologies along with Docker.

• Preferred experience developing on a SaaS product.

• Preferred experience/hands-on leveraging AI Tools and Innovative approaches to automate tests.
