Service Infrastructure Data Analyst
ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The incumbent will join our Product Strategy, Management & Development team and specialize in end-to-end service infrastructure tracking and analysis, platform resource planning, and product analytics. You will:

• Lead the design and integration of network data analytics solutions aimed at optimizing the allocation, usage, and planning of SES platform resources
• Ensure data linkage among all service components in partnership with other business functions (e.g., Software Centre of Expertise, Ground Operations, Asset Management, Network Planning, IT Systems) to deliver single pane of glass solutions for end-to-end tracking and analysis of our platform utilization
• Identify trends in traffic consumption, take up of products and features as well as patterns in customer behaviour for effective profiling and forecasts
• Collaborate with Product Engineering, Asset & Yield Management to integrate refined prediction models into our resource capacity planning methodologies and product portfolio optimization

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS

• Provide on-going tracking of hardware resources consumption and platform licenses and apply statistical and predictive modelling techniques in support of planning activities
• Design self-service dashboards using a mixture of analytical and visualization techniques to derive actionable insights to improve decision-making and foster profitable growth
• Analyse patterns in take up of products & features as well as network consumption over time with the objective to identify trends followed by customers, segments, markets, and regions and optimize our offering
• Enable early detection of changes in user behaviour or network consumption by means of analyses on multiple time scales that can identify anomalies, seasonal occurrences or long term shifts in customer preferences for action by the Product and vertical organizations
• Collaborate with the Product Engineering team to model the current and future capabilities of our VSAT platforms into our sizing process
• Collaborate with the Software Centre of Expertise and Asset Management teams to develop an overview of our end-to-end infrastructure utilization for planning purposes
• Ensure all components in the end-to-end architecture including Fleet, Terminal, Platform, Gateway & Network are integrated into our data analysis and reporting
• Interface with internal and external stakeholders to align IT, security and system requirements, follow through on developments and report regularly
• Extract product and customer analytics for consumption by the Product team enabling feedback loops with the vertical organizations
• Provide instruments to the Service Infrastructure team to ensure that platform sizing remains aligned with business targets of the vertical organizations
• Collaborate with VMP, Finance and Logistics teams to ensure tracking of ground infrastructure deployments, stock management and cost modelling
• Contribute to SES' product analytics roadmap and explore in close collaboration with IT and Software teams the integration of innovative AI solutions that could improve decisions and outcomes

• Ability to work with multiple tasks spread over multiple non-related topics efficiently
• Ability to act as a "gap filler" among multiple teams to ensure task delivery in a timely manner

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• University degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or similar related scientific/engineering fields
• Experience in Satellite & Telecommunication Systems, RF engineering and thorough understanding of VSAT technology and infrastructure
• At least 3 years of data analytics experience with tools, technologies and processes to extract trends and actionable insights from a multitude of network data points
• Knowledge and understanding of typical key performance indicators associated with satellite networks and telecommunication products
• Experience with resource capacity planning concepts and methodologies
• Knowledge and understanding of programming resources, large-scale data lake and cloud services, web services API, data streaming and database technologies
• Experience in documenting products, processes and requirements
• Fluent in English, other languages are beneficial

• Strong communication skills including technical documentation development and delivery of demonstrations and presentations and the ability to listen and communicate effectively with functional leaders

• Ability to present technical information to a non-technical audience
• Domestic and international travel required occasionally
