Job Summary
The role demands not just creative and technical prowess but also strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills to navigate the complexities of designing user-centric digital products.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Lead the design of an innovative internal developer portal (Developer Platform), ensuring it aligns with our technical requirements and user needs.
* Collaborate closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand user requirements and translate them into user-centric design solutions using modern UI development frameworks.
* Create intuitive, accessible, and easy-to-use designs through the entire experience lifecycle, from sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and interactive mock-ups to high-fidelity designs.
* Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to inform design decisions.
* Create user flows, journey maps, and job stories to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
* Work closely with development teams to ensure seamless and efficient implementation of design solutions.
* Analyze user feedback and conduct usability audits to identify areas for improvement and implement iterative design enhancements.
Qualifications and Skills
* 5+ years of experience in product design, with a portfolio showcasing your work on complex applications, preferably in a tech or SaaS environment.
* Strong understanding of design principles, user experience, user interface, and interaction design, with a solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and a high-level proficiency in Figma.
* Solid problem-solving skills and ability to iterate designs based on user feedback.
* Strong expertise in UX design principles, user research methodologies, and interaction design.
* Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices in UX/UI design.
* Experience in conducting user research and translating user feedback into design decisions.
* Experience in UI development using modern front-end frameworks such as React.
* Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and comfort with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and justify design decisions to
stakeholders and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Bonus points if you have
* Experience working in an Agile development environment.
* Familiarity with Design Systems and Atomic Design principles.
* Understanding of user analytics and the ability to use data to inform design decisions.
* Experience with user testing methodologies and tools.
