Role
The Senior Software engineer will work within a cross-functional development team to estimate and own delivery tasks (design, dev, test, deployment,
configuration, documentation) to meet the business requirements and enhance Ethoca's product suite. This position requires collaboration with other engineering teams to deliver a wide range of strategic and tactical solutions. The ideal candidate should be proficient in entire SDLC including automation and product analysis. Given the diverse set of tools and services used across the business, the candidate will be exposed to various technologies and should possess a willingness to learn and adapt. You are passionate about design and technology and committed to doing things properly to avoid tech debt.
• Participate in team prioritisation discussions with Product/Business
stakeholders.• Estimate and own delivery tasks (dev, test, deployment,
configuration, documentation) to meet the business requirements.• Drive code/design/process trade-off discussions within their team when
required.• Report status and manage risks within their primary application/service.• Drive integration of services focusing on customer journey and experience• Perform demos/acceptance discussions in interacting with Product owners.• Understands operational and engineering experience and actively works to
improve experience and metrics in the ownership area.• Develop a complete understanding of end-to-end technical architecture and
dependency systems.• Drive adoption of technology standards and opinionated frameworks, and

Required Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.• 7+ years of experience in Software Engineering with exposure to entire SDLC.• Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript.• Experience building automation frameworks from the ground up.• Strong experience with:• REST APIs• Microservices• Event-driven architectures• Distributed systems• Cloud-native applications• Experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.• Experience with automation tools such as:• Selenium• Playwright• Cypress• Rest Assured• Postman• Good understanding of Data build tool (DBT) testing to ensure data quality, reliability, and accuracy across data engineering pipelines.• Strong experience with SQL and data analysis and validation.• Strong understanding of Agile and DevOps practices.
