About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong experience in building and scaling cloud-native, microservices-based applications. You will be a key contributor to the design, development, and delivery of backend systems, working closely with architects, product managers, and other engineers to build reliable and high-performance solutions.
Experience in the healthcare domain is a plus, particularly in environments that require high standards for security, compliance, and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Java
- Build and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS, utilizing services such as EKS and S3
- Containerize applications using Docker and deploy them via Kubernetes (EKS)
- Develop and optimize data persistence layers using Aurora (PostgreSQL) and PostgreSQL
- Implement caching and performance optimizations using Redis
- Write, maintain, and review high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business and functional requirements into technical solutions
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making
- Support CI/CD pipelines; experience with GitLab CI/CD is a plus
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability and performance
- Follow best practices for security, scalability, and observability
Required Qualifications
- 5–8 years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in Java and backend development
- Hands on experience building front end applications using React or Angular
- Hands-on experience building microservices and RESTful APIs
- Experience with AWS cloud services, especially EKS and S3
- Practical experience with Docker and containerized deployments
- Solid experience with relational databases, preferably Aurora (PostgreSQL) or PostgreSQL
- Experience with Redis or similar caching technologies
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and distributed systems
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD or similar CI/CD platforms
- Prior experience in the healthcare domain (HIPAA, HL7, FHIR, etc.)
- Exposure to cloud security and compliance best practices.
