About The Role
We are looking for a talented Distributed Systems Engineer to join the Data Localization team. The team is building technologies that allow our customers to harness Cloudflare's massive and performant network to meet their federal Data Sovereignty standards as well as their internal regionalization policies.
You will work on a range of microservices written mainly in Rust and Go. Technologies we use include Go, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Clickhouse and the usual Unix/Linux tools and workflows. We strive to build reliable, fault-tolerant systems that can operate at Cloudflare's scale.

Role Requirements (Must-Have Skills)
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience with a technology company
- Experience writing high-quality code in one or more system programming languages (Go, C/C++)
- Experience building and operating distributed systems
- Experience with modern Unix/Linux development and runtime environments
- Excellent debugging skills and attention to details
- Good understanding of TCP/IP and networking in general
Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience.
- Experience working with Go and/or Rust
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL
- Designing and building APIs
