- Develop, test, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend services using Golang.
- Work closely with insurance domain experts to build robust applications catering to policy administration, claims processing, underwriting, and other insurance workflows.
- Design and optimize databases to efficiently manage large datasets related to insurance policies, claims, and customer records.
Implement microservices architecture and ensure seamless integration with third-party insurance platforms. - Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud deployments using Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or GCP.
- Ensure security best practices in API development, authentication, and data protection in compliance with insurance industry standards
- Troubleshoot and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
Conduct code reviews, mentoring, and knowledge sharing within the development team.
What skills the candidate will need to get the job done…
- 3+ years of Golang development experience in building enterprise applications.
- Strong understanding of insurance business processes (policy issuance, claims management, underwriting, regulatory compliance, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and methodologies (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, GitOps).
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proficiency in working with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases.
- Strong knowledge of API development (REST, GraphQL, gRPC) and event-driven architecture.
- Experience with message queues like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS.
- Understanding of security best practices in cloud-native environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Nice to have…
- Experience with serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions).
- Knowledge of AI/ML in insurance applications (risk assessment, fraud detection, customer analytics).
- Familiarity with Elastic APM, or other monitoring tools.
