Veta Virtual is hiring a Senior SEO Content Strategist for one of our high-growth clients in the Fintech and Cryptocurrency industry. This is a rare, high-ownership hybrid role — combining technical SEO, content strategy, hands-on writing, and digital PR into a single position where you are the single point of accountability for organic traffic and organic-sourced conversions. 🔑 Your Role:
As a Senior SEO Content Strategist, you will own and execute the full organic growth roadmap — from keyword strategy and technical SEO through content production and digital PR — for a leading fintech and cryptocurrency platform operating thousands of kiosks across multiple countries. You will partner with product, compliance, design, growth, and communications teams to translate complex crypto and fintech topics into content people search for and publications cite. Your day-to-day will involve:
- Owning and executing the organic growth roadmap — keyword strategy, competitive benchmarking, prioritization, and quarterly KPI targets — with full accountability for organic traffic and conversion performance.
- Leading technical SEO across the platform — site architecture, crawlability, page speed, schema markup, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, and Local SEO across the company's kiosk footprint via Google Business Profiles at scale.
- Partnering with developers and designers to ship technical improvements and prevent regressions on new launches — translating SEO requirements into clear, actionable development briefs.
- Maintaining the SEO tooling stack — GSC, GA, SEMrush/Ahrefs, Screaming Frog — and reporting on performance with data-driven, actionable insights for cross-functional stakeholders.
- Developing and executing content strategy across blog, landing pages, and educational guides — writing and editing high-quality, SEO-optimized content that translates complex crypto and fintech concepts into clear, accurate, user-friendly material.
- Running regular content audits — refreshing, consolidating, or sunsetting underperforming pages to maintain a lean, high-performing content library.
- Partnering with the Communications team on data-led digital PR campaigns — supplying original research, industry data studies, and newsworthy assets designed to earn backlinks from crypto, fintech, and mainstream publications.
- Sourcing and responding to reporter requests via HARO, Qwoted, and similar platforms — producing expert commentary on tight turnarounds in coordination with Communications.
- Tracking domain authority, referring domains, link quality, and link velocity — reporting on the SEO impact of earned media coverage and feeding a shared target publication list with Communications.
✅ What You'll Need:
- 5–7 years of combined SEO and content experience — ideally in fintech, cryptocurrency, or another regulated industry where accuracy and compliance matter.
- Demonstrated track record of driving organic traffic and ranking growth as both strategist and individual contributor — a portfolio of published content and link-earning campaigns is required.
- Deep technical SEO knowledge — search algorithms, site architecture, page speed, schema markup, and Core Web Vitals — with hands-on implementation experience, not just strategic awareness.
- Strong writer and editor — able to produce publication-quality content on complex financial and crypto topics without sacrificing accuracy, clarity, or compliance standards.
- Hands-on digital PR experience — supporting link-building via HARO, Qwoted, or similar platforms with a track record of earning coverage from high-authority publications.
- Proficiency with GSC, GA, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and a CMS such as WordPress or Drupal.
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS — able to implement basic technical changes without developer support when needed.
- Strong analytical skills — able to translate data into strategy and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills — you work effectively with product, compliance, design, growth, and communications teams.
- Bonus: working knowledge of cryptocurrency, blockchain, and fintech.
- Bonus: experience optimizing Local SEO via Google Business Profiles at scale.
- Bonus: familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Looker for building data-led link-earning studies.
- Bonus: understanding of how SEO integrates with paid media, email, and social channels.
- To be considered for this role, you must be currently based in Latin America (LATAM) or Europe.
