Senior Quality Assurance Engineer II

Position Title: Sr. QA Engineer 

Summary: 

You will work as a member of the development team that implements Bottomline’s portfolio of industry-leading solutions in the Healthcare, Document Output, and Payments spaces. These are established, complex and interesting products that require enhancement and maintenance to retain their industry-leading status.  The QA Engineer role is a challenging and rewarding one.  It is a role that combines manual testing with an automation rollout across a portfolio of products.  In this role you will be responsible for analysing user needs, participate to develop test strategy, write test cases, manual testing,  develop test automation scripts/framework  to support continuous integration.  You will need to work with developers and other QA engineers to define optimal manual and automation plans per product release timelines. You will be able to learn new automation tools and propose them for use in future automation framework development. 

This position is based at our Bangalore, India office. 

Responsibilities:  

• Manage QA campaign for new and existing features/bugs for manual/automated tests by defining strategy for testing, communicating to all team members and improving QA campaign based on feedback. 

• Development and maintenance of Automated Test frameworks and systems.  

• Review automation code and provide suggestions  

• Work closely with developers and other QA engineers to discuss defects and resolutions  

• Utilize appropriate testing tools for both front-end and back-end Quality Assurance 

• Coordinate and manage automated testing efforts for concurrent projects and software releases, including coordinating test automation schedules, environments, and configuration requirements for assigned testing activities and providing feedback to internal and external stakeholders 

Requirements:  

• 7+ Years as a Quality Assurance professional with participation in the quality lifecycle of manual and automated testing approaches. 

• 3+ years of experience in automation framework development for Web application 

• Technical knowledge on automation using Java, Selenium, Cypress, API Automation, Cucumber, Gatling and Jenkins 

• Working knowledge and experience with JIRA, Confluence and Linux is must 

• Ability to read, write and analyze SQL database queries (Oracle)  

• Test reporting knowledge using Jira and other tools 

• The ability to estimate effort, make and meet commitments is required  

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills  

• Outstanding problem-solving skills, ability to own & self-manage daily tasks and communicate with teams remotely
