The Role:
The QA Automation Engineer role is a challenging and rewarding one. In this role you will be responsible for analysing user needs, participating to develop test strategies, writing test cases and developing test automation scripts/framework to support continuous integration. You will need to work with developers and other QA engineers in defining optimal automation plan as per product release timelines, while learning new automation tools and proposing the same for usage in future automation framework development.
How you'll contribute:
- Manage QA campaign for new features/bugs for manual/automated tests by defining strategy for testing, communicate to all team members and improve QA campaign based on feedback.
- Development and maintenance of Automated Test frameworks and systems.
- Able to deploy a product using Linux and Oracle knowledge.
- Review automation code and provide suggestions.
- Work closely with developers and other QA engineers to discuss defects and resolutions.
- Utilise appropriate testing tools for both front-end and back-end Quality Assurance
- Coordinate and manage automated testing efforts for concurrent projects and software releases, including coordinating test automation schedules, environments, and configuration requirements for assigned testing activities and provide feedback to internal and external stakeholders
What will make you successful:
- Proven 5+ years of experience in automation framework development for Web application
- Technical knowledge on automation using Java, Selenium, Gatling, Jenkins
- Working knowledge and experience with JIRA, Confluence
- Previous experience working with Linux/Unix is desirable but not essential
- Ability to read, write and analyze SQL database queries
- Test reporting knowledge using TestNG and other tools
- The ability to estimate effort, make and meet commitments is required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding problem-solving skills, ability to own & self-manage daily tasks and communicate with teams remotely
