Job Title: Postgres DEV DBA
Location: Manyata Tech Park, Bangalore
Business & Team: CTO- EUX
Impact &contribution: Expected to work in hybrid squad across Australia and India. You will contribute to the financial well-being of our customers by ensuring that our team builds the best solutions possible using modern development practices that ensure both functional and non-functional needs are met. Roles & responsibilities:
- Design, code, build and operate Postgres platform service to achieve resilience, scalability (automated and codified process of scaling out ) and clarity ( detailed matrix to
show the health of the system at all levels). - Perform operational and monitoring tasks for the database systems under the context of
VM or other container for both production and non-production environments. - Participate in regular development work in postgres talking to tenants. Solving performance issues etc.
- React to database related platform issues.
- React to OS container behaviour changes, metrics. Evaluate impact on database assets and
action accordingly. - Contribute in code to building and maintaining Postgres database platform-as-a-service
technology stack. This includes infrastructure automation, configuration management and
application code. - Deploy platform and tenant builds across both production and non-production
environments. - Provide and receive meaningful and concise code review .
- Contribute regularly to optimise operational process via continue improvements on
automation and quality control. The aim is to come up with well-thought-out sustainable
long term solutions. - Execute production tasks with a calm and disciplined operational mindset.

Essential skills:
- 7+ years of professional experience in Development background of Postgres (PLPGSQL-Functions, procedures, triggers, table design, indexes, performance tuning with architecture experience)
- 3+ years of experience in DEVOPS tools like Ansible / Terraform / Git / Jenkins..etc
- 3+ years of administration experience on Postgres DBA in cloud or On-premise.
- 2+ years of experience on cloud based technology.(AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Experience or knowledge with containerisation technology such as VM ware or docker
container. - Familiarity with JIRA or other agile planning tools.
- Ability to perform deep analysis on infrastructure ( OS, network, container), database and
applications.
Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
