About the team
The Capital Markets AI/ML CoE team is a horizontal CoE for Capital Markets that is helping us drive revenue and bring significant savings to our businesses by identifying, exploring, and implementing AI/ML solutions.
The Capital Markets is one of the two verticals in FIS. It has various products and solutions in funds management, cleared derivatives, commercial lending, corporate treasury, insurance risk electronic trading, RegTech, wealth and retirement etc.
The team consists of highly motivated solution architects, data scientists and ML engineers.
What you will be doing
As a Senior Software Engineer (ML Engineer), you will be working on developing cutting-edge AI/ML solutions across the organization.
What you bring:
- 7+ years of industry experience
- Hands-on experience in application design and development in Python
- Hands-on experience if working on GenAI based applications.
- Experience with data analysis, data preprocessing, building machine learning models, model optimization, model evaluation.
- Good understanding of machine learning concepts around regression, classification, clustering, dimensionality reduction etc.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems using learned techniques and tools.
- Proficiency in application development in Python
- Good-to-have: Experience in additional programming languages (Good to have Java or C# or both).
- Rest services using Flask or FastAPI
- Experience of working with at least one relational database.
- SQLAlchemy, Pydantic data modelling
- Working knowledge of ML libraries like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, pandas etc.
- Good to have - Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and AI Studios.
- Good to have - Experience with MLOps.
- Solid software engineering skills (coding best practices, version control, debugging).
- Hands-on experience in solving practical problems using GenAI.
