Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Developer with strong expertise in web services, API development, and custom API/wrapper building. The ideal candidate will have a consulting mindset and hands-on experience in building, managing, and maintaining Java-based applications and API wrappers, particularly around MDM and peripheral systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain Java-based web services and APIs.
Build and manage custom APIs and API wrappers for integration with MDM and peripheral systems.
Develop and test API wrappers to ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability.
Collaborate with consulting and business teams to understand integration requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Manage end-to-end API lifecycle including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Ensure secure, reliable, and scalable API integrations following industry best practices.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications and integrations.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including architects, QA, DevOps, and stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in Java application development.
Strong experience in Web Services (REST/SOAP) and API development.
Proven expertise in custom API development and wrapper building.
Hands-on experience integrating MDM systems and peripheral applications.
Strong knowledge of Java frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot).
Experience with API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, JUnit, etc.).
Solid understanding of API security, authentication, and authorization (OAuth, JWT, etc.).
Experience working in a consulting or client-facing environment.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git).
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
