About Deck
Deck is building the data infrastructure for the internet. We make scattered, login-protected data instantly accessible through clean APIs and integrations—empowering businesses to act fast and smart, with no friction.
We’re a team of builders from top-tier tech companies who believe one thing: great ideas need great data. If you thrive in early-stage chaos, own your work like a founder, and think in frameworks—not features—Deck might be your next home.
The RoleWe’re looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to own the user experience and interface of Deck’s platform. You’ll translate complex data workflows into fast, intuitive, and reliable front-end systems that customers love to use.
You’ll partner closely with Product, Design, and Backend teams to deliver exceptional interfaces, contribute to design system architecture, and make data-heavy interactions simple, beautiful, and lightning fast.
You’ll thrive here if you care about detail, move quickly from idea to prototype to production, and want to help define how thousands of users experience Deck.
What You'll DoDevelop and maintain high-performance front-end applications in React and TypeScript
Deliver and maintain client-side SDKs that simplify integrating with Deck
Build reusable components and scalable design systems aligned with Deck’s product identity
Translate user and business needs into elegant, performant, and accessible UI/UX solutions
Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability across browsers and devices
Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code with an emphasis on long-term quality
Contribute to technical and architectural decisions shaping Deck’s front-end stack
5+ years of front-end development experience (React, Next.js, or equivalent frameworks)
Strong grasp of TypeScript, component-based design, and modern CSS architecture (Tailwind, CSS Modules, Styled Components, etc.)
Deep understanding of UI/UX principles, accessibility, and front-end performance optimization
Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and understand data-fetching and caching patterns in front-end applications
Have experience with front-end observability and monitoring
Proven ability to translate complex product logic into simple, usable interfaces
Comfort in fast-paced, startup environments where autonomy and adaptability matter
Bonus: experience with data visualization libraries (Recharts, D3.js)\
Competitive pay for the right skills
Proven leadership with a track record of big results
Significant ownership and autonomy in how you operate
A team of exceptional peers tackling complex, high-leverage problems
Momentum: recent fundraise by top-tier investors, massive whitespace, and accelerating traction
Deck isn’t just a product—it’s a mission. We believe that businesses should spend more time thinking and building, and less time wrestling with data plumbing. If that vision excites you, and you’re energized by early-stage speed, ambiguity, and intensity—let’s talk.
Before applying, take a look at our Constitution. If you don't dislike it, there's a good chance you’ll love working here.
