We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SSD Validation Engineer with 7+ years of experience in system-level validation, performance characterization, and test automation. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and execute comprehensive validation test plans covering SSD functional, power, performance, and thermal validation • Drive test automation and framework development to improve validation efficiency, scalability, and coverage • Perform power and performance characterization using industry-standard tools such as Quarch • Execute thermal validation using ESPEC chambers and analyze system behavior under various stress conditions • Lead system bring-up, debugging, and validation readiness for new platforms and lab environments • Collaborate closely with firmware, hardware, and system teams to debug issues and drive root cause analysis • Support large-scale lab execution and ensure readiness of systems under test (SUTs) for validation cycles • Continuously enhance validation methodologies, tools, and processes to improve efficiency and quality Required Skills: • 7+ years of experience in SSD / storage validation • Strong understanding of system architecture, including CPU, memory, PCIe, NVMe, and OS interactions • Hands-on experience in power and performance testing and analysis • Experience using Quarch tools for power measurement and characterization • Experience with thermal validation using ESPEC chambers and environmental testing • Strong scripting and automation skills (Python preferred) • Experience in system bring-up, debugging, and platform-level validation • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in large-scale lab environments and execution infrastructure • Exposure to enterprise SSD validation and PCIe Gen4/Gen5 platforms AI & Automation Expectations: • Demonstrate proficiency in AI-enabled tools and automation workflows to improve validation efficiency • Utilize AI-assisted techniques for log analysis, failure triage, and data-driven insights • Leverage AI tools to enhance test automation, reporting, and validation coverage • Ensure responsible and secure usage of AI tools in compliance with Micron AI governance guidelines • Continuously adopt AI-driven innovations to improve engineering productivity and decision-making
