The ideal candidate should have strong Linux Administration skills and will be responsible for the smooth operation and maintenance of Linux-based systems, including proficiency with the command line, shell scripting, Ansible and familiarity with various Linux distributions. Troubleshooting skills are essential for diagnosing and resolving system issues, ensuring optimal performance and user experience. Additionally, candidate should stay ahead of security threats by implementing a rigorous patching process to keep systems up-to-date and secure.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Upgrade and maintain Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters.
- Develop and manage automation scripts using Ansible to streamline operations.
- Perform Linux administration tasks, including OS patching and system troubleshooting.
- Ensure smooth data center operations, including hardware and software maintenance.
- Monitor cluster performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations.
- Should have basic knowledge of Virtualization platform (Vmware)
- Implement and maintain security best practices across all platforms.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all systems and processes.
- Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of applications
- Adhere to enterprise change control processes & procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in managing Kubernetes and OpenShift platforms.
- Proficiency in using Ansible for automation tasks.
- Strong background in Linux administration, including OS patching.
- Hands-on experience with data center operations.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and drive projects to completion.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Familiarity DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker.
- Understanding of network and storage configurations in a clustered environment.
