Job Description

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. 

Accountabilities

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

To be successful as a " Senior Data Analyst / Engineer", you should have experience with:

Basic/ Essential Qualifications:

• Extensive Data and Analytics experience in the following
• Data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
• Data Platforms like Data Bricks, Snow Flakes
• Understanding of Cloud Platform / AWS / Kafka etc.
• Experience in designing & building Data Models / Data Warehouse & Marts
• Experience in Data integration tools  like SSIS,
• Hands on experience in writing complex stored procedure, Functions & Triggers  using  Structured Query language (T-SQL)
• Hands on experience in performance tuning  slow running SQL queries.
• Data modelling tools (e.g. SQL Developer, Python , Database Workbench, ER/Studio)
• Ability to deliver solutions with time constraints in place.
• Communicate technical topics in a concise manner that wider team can understand
• Strong analytical skills and logical thinking to manage issues in a high-pressure environment
• Experience working in an Agile team
• Ability to produce high quality, well structured, concise written and verbal material in English
• Experience working with a highly distributed team (multiple locations, and staff from vendors, consultant and contractors in addition to perm)

Desirable skillsets/ good to have:

• Strong Experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Machine Learning (ML) algorithms.
• Strong Experience in  Alation / Snowflake / Starbursts/ DBT / Airflow etc.
• Experience architecting and designing front office mission critical, data intensive business applications.

This role will be based out of Pune.
