Senior Associate – Finance Risk and Controls
The Finance, Risk and Controls team at LSEG is responsible for designing and implementing a robust financial controls framework. Acting as a Second Line of Defence, we ensure effective risk management and compliance across the organization. As LSEG undergoes a multi-year transformation through the Beacon Programme, this role will play a critical part in designing, testing, and documenting controls for a new ERP system implementation.
The successful candidate will report to the Manager Compliance, Finance Risk and Controls
Perform Design, Implementation and Operating Effectiveness assurance of internal controls
Partner with control owners and First Line of Defense (1LoD) to assess, enhance, and remediate control frameworks and exceptions.
Collate test results and prepare detailed reports
Lead all aspects of controls testing lifecycle in MetricStream, including business requirements for controls testing and ensuring ongoing proper usage and support
Lead risk events and issues from identification through remediation, including root cause analysis and documentation.
Coordinate with external auditors and business partners to support audits and resolve findings.
Drive process improvement and control optimization initiatives across the business.
Support the quarterly controls attestation and ensure control attributes remain current and accurate.
Assist User acceptance testing (UAT) within Metric Stream and Oracle
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Required
- At least 4+ years of work experience, including 3 years experience in public accounting combined with SOX compliance program, Internal/external audit and risk management
- University (equivalent) degree and/or ACCA (equivalent),
- Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management and compliance framework
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills,
Preferred:
- Knowledge of Audit Command Language (ACL) and proficiency in MS Office tools,
- Internal/ External audit experience and/or prior consulting experience
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred), SAP Accounting and billing applications, Salesforce.com and GRC tools (MetricStream)
- Knowledge of business modules like Record to Report - Billing to Cash, Accounts Receivable (AR), Cash-Out - Contract-to-pay, Accounts Payable (AP) and Cash management. Identifying gaps in the existing processes and providing recommendations for operational improvement and mitigating risks arising from the gaps
- Ability to handle several priorities and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
