Job DescriptionThe Cold End Operation Executive is responsible of managing a crew by assigning, overseeing and guiding crew to maintain work flow, complete daily production plans and ensuring quality control and correct operation of equipment. Direct factory floor supervision. Monitors quality and progress of jobs within the department, completes necessary paperwork, evaluates employees and promotes a safe working environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Supervises, oversees and guides , quality assurance and technicians on crew.
- Supervise the production of quality product through continual monitoring of the line operation.
- Evaluates held ware using measures and controls, which meet quality and customer specifications.
- Check and report on production progress, while ensuring conformance to quality standards and customer requirements
- Communicates the status of quality to required departments.
- Completes all required shift paperwork
- Ensure that periodic quality checks are performed
- Trains and evaluates new employees.
- Initiates transportation of packaging material from materials drop area to Bottle Selection Department for oncoming jobs.
- Make checks on inspection equipment for reliability and records findings on the appropriate forms.
- Support and supervise trouble shooting of inspection machine, packaging machines and conveyor systems.
- Reviews and approves employee time punches in payroll system.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Periodic performance appraisals on crew personnel.
- Eliminate avoidable accidents and improve plant safety performance
- Observes all safety rules and regulations and performs job in a safe manner.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Science Graduate or Diploma/degree in Enggineering Stream.
- Hands on supervisory experience preferably in glass manufacturing
- Knowledge of glass defects.
- Understanding of state-of-the-art electronic inspection, automated packaging equipment and conveyor systems.
- Ability to motivate, mentor and coach personnel and the ability to contribute to a team effort environment.
- Computer skills and knowledge to include MS Office, and Lotus Notes.
- Strong organizational, leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to demonstrate patience and have the ability to teach others
Must be aggressive, resourceful and independent, while showing flexibility and open mindedness
